      The Candidate Specification

We’re looking for a 2nd Officer with OOW in hand for a private and charter motor yacht, this is a great role for a newly qualified OOW. The yacht is crossing to Miami at the end of September and likely to be there until february. The program is busy and fast-moving, with 24-hour turnarounds and frequent last-minute changes – the vessel typically runs 4-5 charters over summer and 3 over winter, and picking up charters at short notice is completely normal for them.

On deck, the structure is Chief Officer, Second Officer, Bosun and two Deckhands. We need someone who already holds their OOW ticket, or is very close to completing it, and who is genuinely strong and hands-on on deck rather than purely bridge-focused, the programme offers lots of guest interaction, watersports and ops. Given how often the program shifts at short notice, the right candidate needs to be flexible, level-headed under pressure, and able to lead the deck team without micromanaging – someone who manages their own emotions well and brings the guys with them, rather than running things in a rigid, overly regimented way.

Culturally, this is an active, health-conscious crew who are into golf, padel and cycling rather than a big party scene

      • Qualification: OOW 3000
      • Required Visa: B1/B2 & Schengen Visa
      • Due to Cabin arrangement: Male
