Job Title: Head Chef – New Build Yacht

The Candidate Specification
We are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join a brand-new yacht ahead of her delivery in November. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a new galley from the outset and help shape the culinary programme onboard.
The successful candidate will lead the galley with responsibility for both guest and crew food, alongside procurement and food ordering. You will also be involved in recruiting the Sous Chef and building a strong galley team. The owners’ Executive Chef from their existing yacht may join for the first owners’ trip to provide additional support.
The owners enjoy fine dining, with a particular love of Italian cuisine, premium fish and wagyu. We are looking for a Chef with a strong culinary background who can confidently deliver at this level while adapting to specific dietary preferences. Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a lunch and dinner trial, with the freedom to create their own menu and showcase their style.
Personality and leadership are equally important. The ideal candidate will be confident without being arrogant, respectful towards the wider crew and comfortable taking command of the galley. A genuine passion for healthy, high-quality crew food is essential, with crew welfare being an important part of the onboard culture.
